CARING FOR YOUR CHILD<\/h2>\n

Providing your child with the ultimate care and safety is our number one priority at camp. Facilities and policies have been constructed to provide a thorough and consistently safe program. During Orientation and Staff Training, all staff are trained in safety rules and expectations for all aspects of camp life. Safety regulations are\u00a0reviewed and practiced by all campers and staff.<\/p>\n

We feel a keen sense of responsibility for the health and safety of your child.\u00a0Our infirmary operates as a primary care clinic for the camp. Your child\u2019s health record is maintained there and should they need medical assistance we are well equipped to help them. Our medical staff consists of one full-time physician and three full-time nurses. Our doctors rotate on a weekly basis. \u00a0The infirmary is fully stocked with medical supplies to aid with everything from minor abrasions to more serious conditions. We also carry a defibrillator on site.<\/p>\n

Head Nurse: Aviva Gluck<\/span><\/h4>\n

From Kew Garden Hills, NY, Aviva is in her 9th summer as the Head Nurse at Camp Sternberg. \u00a0Aviva loves looking out for the safety and well being of every other camper too, as if they are her own.\u00a0 Aviva loves the people and the atmosphere at Camp Sternberg and loves watching the kids grow up summer after summer.\u00a0 Aviva is joined by Mrs. Shayna Klein and Mrs. Adina Berger of Woodmere, NY and other professional medical staff as well.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1\/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default”][vc_column_text]\n

SENDING MEDICATION TO CAMP<\/h2>\n

We are committed to ensuring your child is provided with the ultimate care. \u00a0 Please do not send medication up to camp with your child.<\/p>\n

We have selected 1Stop Pharmacy to supply prepackaged medications for our campers. All prescription medications, over the counter medications, vitamins, and supplements that are taken on a daily basis must be ordered through 1Stop Pharmacy. This company packages all pills individually in a dose packet for each day of camp.\u00a0 Please log into 1stoprx.com and and register.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

If you send medication to camp with your child (instead of ordering through 1 Stop pharmacy),that medication cannot be used, and you will be charged a packaging and rush fee by 1 Stop Pharmacy as well as an additional $50 fee for shipping and handling. \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Do NOT send any over the counter medication with your daughter.
