DEDICATED STAFF
Camp Sternberg carefully selects our staff for their commitment to working with children. Staff members attend a thorough orientation, which emphasizes the critical functions that each of them play , the mission of the camp, and gives them the tools for ensuring the physical and emotional safety and well being of our campers. Our staff forms a strong, committed team with a single focus: a safe summer filled with fun, learning, and growth opportunities for each camper.
Nearly 90% of our counselors began as campers and grew up at Sternberg. Many stay on through their seminary years returning each summer to become experienced and valuable staff members. They know every phase of camp life from personal experience. The one comment we hear most often from a parent is, “Your staff really care about their campers.” They do, and it is one of the principal reasons why Sternberg is so special.
